On a scale from 1 to 10 this house is a 9.5! Location, location, location! Walk off the back deck and in only a few steps you toes are in the water! The covered back deck is perfect for coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening. We stayed in another house where by 8am the deck was too hot to sit on or enjoy. The interior of the house was amazing. The large dining room table was great for games and eating. I can not give the house a 10 because of a few very fixable issues. For a house that sleeps 15 the kitchen needs to have more than one skillet (makes cooking some things a real challenge). The pillows were WAY too soft, it was almost like not having a pillow at all, unless you doubled it over. The previous renters left some unbagged trash in one of trash cans and I guess the garbage collectors only pick it up if it’s in a bag. After some rain and then some heat that trash can was nasty. At least on of the toilet seats was very loose. The vertical blinds going out to the deck from the living room had a few blinds off and rolled up under one of the chairs in the living room. I know all of these are petty complaints, but it does prevent a 10 out 10. Bottom line, THE HOUSE IS AMAZING. Word of wisdom to any going to Dauphin Island is get your groceries some where else other than the island. $10 for Blue Bell Ice Cream!

Beautiful home and a perfect location.
The communication provided before, during, and post trip was outstanding. The office kept us informed of Hurricane Zeta. Available parking area, choice to stay or leave. We chose to stay to mark it off our bucket list. Beautiful beach and shell collecting before and after Zeta. The house withstood a Category 2 Hurricane. At no time did we feel in danger. Adam and Teri you guys did a wonderful example of customer service. I’ll give you guys a 10!

Wonderful Home
This is a beautiful home! We had a very enjoyable two weeks. There were minor details, however, nothing worth mentioning. The kitchen had every thing you could possibly need (including several fry pans and also a very large stock pot). The wet bar with the additional drink fridge came in very handy. The bedrooms were plenty big and well appointed. Same with the bathrooms. Lots of extra towels plus travel size amenities. The stacked washer/dryer were a challenge for a short person like me, but, the hubbie was able to see what I couldn’t. The living room had ample seating for the number of people the house could hold, a problem we’ve had with other rentals. The deck had plenty of furniture including lounge chairs, table and chairs for six and even rocking chairs. It was rather cold while we were there (Jan) so we didn’t use the deck quite as much as we would have otherwise. It was still nice though to be able to step out there when something exciting was happening. Dolphins swimming by almost every day, shrimp boats, large container vessels, planes, etc. We enjoyed the home so much we have rented Pelican’s Perch for a month this coming winter. Have absolutely fallen in love with Dauphin Island and this home just made it all the more special. This was our second extended trip with many day trips in between. Cannot recommend this home highly enough. As I said, we are renting it again so that should speak volumes.

Four families/ten adults with four kids fit comfortably
Why do we come to the beach? To see the Gulf and stay in pleasant accommodations. Let’s maximize that opportunity with a full width, covered deck adjacent to a full width uncovered step-down deck.
Tip for this rental: Place the small kiddy pool at the first landing. As swimmers enter the deck steps they can rinse off majority of the sand. Helps keep the floors much cleaner and the stay more pleasant. A quick empty/refill every morning makes the transition from beach to sand-free living much simpler.
Thumbs up for the new decking addition @ the front steps! Transporting all the food/beach paraphernalia from cars to rental was a much better process this year than last.

Is there a bathtub in this unit?
Thanks
Adam says
Yes, the common bathroom has a tub. The three private bathrooms are all shower only.

I am a bit confused between the description and the photos. The description says there is a lower deck but this is not seen in any pictures. Also, there are only three of the four bedrooms pictured.
Adam says
The back deck is a two-level deck. I have reworded the listing to make it less confusing. Thanks for letting us know about the missing picture. We will get a new one uploaded as soon as it’s empty!

The Perfect Place!
This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay! The moment you walk in, the view of the water is breathtaking. The layout is amazing, it so open and we loved how everyone had access to a bathroom from their bedroom. The deck facing the gulf was fantastic, it’s huge and was so great to sit and watch some dolphins while I had my morning coffee. I didn’t want to leave, it was so beautiful and peaceful. We’re hoping to make this a yearly trip!
