Description
Blue Bayou is a pet-friendly (2-Pet Maximum Limit), 4/2 on a deep-water canal leading into Graveline Bay on the north side if the island. Tie your crab pots right to your deck for dinner! Bring your boat and launch right out of your backyard in your private boat launch. The view is amazing, overlooking the canal and then a low-lying undeveloped peninsula of natural shoreline between you and Graveline Bay, a truly peaceful and scenic perspective that will melt away any worries as you watch birds, dolphins and boats. The house is a remodeled beach house built int 1990. It has modern kitchen appliances, new and comfortable bedroom furniture and an open living and dining space, overlooking the bay. The master bedroom has a private sitting room where you can ease into your morning, watching the world over a cup of coffee. The house is 0.7 miles from the public beach, 1.2 miles from the St. Stephens access point, if you would prefer to walk, you can take a path across protected dunes just south of the house. That walk is 0.25 miles and takes you through natural dunes to an undeveloped beachfront.
The property does have a washer and dryer located in the downstairs storage room. The storage room is an unfinished space used for storage.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit – $100 pet fee per dog plus tax applies.
Parking Instructions
House has a driveway that will accommodate 5 vehicles and a boat trailer. Overflow parking is available at Green Park in the center part of town. The beach can be accessed easily, one of three ways. The public beach is east of you on Bienville Blvd, next to Dauphin Island Elementary School. You can also use a provided parking pass to go to St. Stephens, which is approximately 3/4 mile west of you on Bienville Blvd. You can also walk through the protected dunes due south of the property. Take Cadillac Ave west to Pirates Cove St and look for the marked path when you get to Bienville Blvd.

This was a our second time to the area. Overall the house was in a convenient location especially with the boat ramp, pier for fishing and close to the beach. The home itself could use some maintenance such as repairs on back stairs of the deck and just in general. Also a deep cleaning would be good. I felt I spent more time cleaning than necessary. I would also look at the refrigerator it seemed to struggle in keeping things cool. For what we paid I probably wouldn’t pay anymore than that.
